How to Sound Like a Big Time Crypto Investor
A big time crypto investor is always looking for the next big thing. Forget about Bitcoin and Ethereum. Those are trite and have become buzzwords.
Everybody starts somewhere. Elon Musk didn’t build Tesla in a day. Microsoft started with a single line of code.
Whether you ever get from point A to point B is moot. Sometimes. What’s important is that the world thinks you’re already at point B.
It’s a matter of mindset, really. In the world of cryptocurrency, having a clear and open mind is as important as any investment.
That said, if you’re reading this there’s a high chance you’re destined for an amazing crypto career.
You’re probably already on the path to that goal. So, why waste time and not let the world know where you’d eventually end up?
Here are some things you can do to ingrain the legendary status into the minds of those around you.
“Have You Heard of X Coin?”
A big time crypto investor is always looking for the next big thing. Forget about bitcoin and Ethereum. Those are trite and have become buzzwords more than anything.
Those who think they can still make money mining bitcoin are stuck in the past and shouldn’t be in this conversation.
That’s not to say bitcoin and ETH are bad, it’s just those who have a lot of bitcoin don’t normally talk about it or they have already gotten to where they want.
Instead, ask people if they know about some random crypto on Coinmarketcap. Make sure to use a coin with some exotic name like Fantom or Bobatama.
This will tell people how little they know about the game and how enormous your portfolio must be to have the coins they’ve never even heard of.
“Let Me Check My Wallet”
Wallet here obviously means your crypto wallet. There’s also the cold wallet you could refer to, which is the hard drive that stores your coins. If you decide to go this route make sure you actually have one on you.
This is usually the better option because you can take the crypto wallet out and flash it around. Say something like, “Oh I’m thinking of buying a new place but I need to check what’s in here first.”
Imagine the people’s faces when they think you can buy an entire house with a USB drive. Which, of course, is something you’d eventually be able to do, anyway.
“I’m All Tied Up”
The old “my money is tied up at the moment” has almost always worked. You can also be specific with this one by adding crypto, such as “I’m all tied up on the Dogecoin.”
This adds a layer of authenticity to the phrase, but like the first tip, make sure to use crypto no one’s heard of. No one can discredit you if they don’t know what you actually have.
You can best utilize this phrase at the dinner table when the check comes. It’s not like you can’t pay, the amount you’ve invested is just way too big. People have to understand and they can’t fault you for that.
The only problem with this is you can’t use it too often. Eventually, your investment has to start showing for itself. Make sure you switch it up a bit and not stick to one strategy.
“Let Me Tell You About My New Project”
You can’t truly be a big time crypto investor without having your very own cryptocurrency.
A lot of money these days comes from crypto startups or ICO (Initial Coin Offering) and even NFTs. People gravitate towards new coins and digital products, wanting to take part in the potential next generation bitcoin.
Due to the FOMO phenomenon, ICOs and NFTs pop up like sprouts on a daily. You need to stay on top of this if you want to maintain your appearance.
Making a new coin isn’t too difficult. Most of the process comes in a template, but if you want to be authentic you can hire developers to invent a fresh new whitepaper. Once it’s live, the first people to entice are the ones you personally know.
Make sure to say “new project” as it implies you’ve had other projects in the past. This gives you an experienced vibe and tells people just how deep in the game you are.
Use Your New Powers For Good
If you’ve done all the steps above, congratulations, you are now a big time crypto investor.
Those around you now look up to you and will come for advice. Make sure you lead them in the right direction and help them make the right choices.
